A Word From Dr. Rachel Fobert, ND

Stepping into your doctors office should feel like hope, should instil permission to be honest and open and should show you being taken seriously does not need to be earned. This is your gentle reminder that you are a person ready to feel like yourself again, not a problem to be solved.

This is your time to invest in yourself and your health! No one can do it for you. I have dedicated my career to empowering patients towards their health goals and it would be an honour to sit across from you and listen to your story.

Gut to Brain connection

The gut is one of the brains little minions. It reports back to the brain on how things are going in the bowels, and if there is any warning of danger coming. The microbiome that lives within the gut also has the capability to support the brain.

GUT LUMEN

The gut lumen is the world inside of the gut comprised of the microbiome, the mucus membrane and all the hormones and digestive enzymes. These are key to a stable and resilient digestive tract. You have the ability to influence these key players… you just don’t know it yet!

Brain to gut

The brain is the ultimate influencer of your gut. The gut is a follower not a leader. On its own it has everything it needs to survive but not thrive. The Brain is the leader the gut wants, but that makes the gut vulnerable. The Brain can make or break the function of the gut!

Pelvic Floor

The muscles in your pelvis are key to regulating the pressure system in your belly as well as serving as the outlet for your bowel movements. If the outlet is tightly shut, or faulty there will be a pooping price to pay!
